PSA Corporation’s Portnet.com Signs
Agreement with China’s Liaoning Provincial
Government to Further Develop Information Technology
Services in North-East China
PSA Corporation’s subsidiary Portnet.com
Pte Ltd, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) with China’s Liaoning Provincial Government
to provide B2B e-commerce business services for
the maritime and logistics industries in Northeast
China.
The MOU was signed in Singapore on 27 Nov 01
by Mr Zhang Tie Min, Deputy Director, Liaoning
Provincial Planning Commission, Mr Robert Yap,
Managing Director, Portnet.com Pte Ltd, and Mr
Lye Chee Whye, General Manager, Dalian Portnet
Co Ltd.
Witnessing the signing were His Excellency Xia
Deren, Vice Governor, Liaoning Provincial Government,
and Dr Yeo Ning Hong, Chairman, PSA Corporation.

Dalian Portnet is one of DPN’s core products.

PSA Corporation’s association with China started
in 1996 with its overseas project, Dalian Container
Terminal (DCT). Since then, the number of port and
logistics projects PSA has in China has grown to
include Fuzhou Container Terminal (FCT) and Guangzhou
Container Terminal (GCT). DCT was voted ‘Best
Emerging Terminal’ at the Lloyd’s List
Maritime Asia Awards in 1999. It was voted as one
of the best container terminals in mainland China
by Cargonews Asia in 1999 and 2000 and the Best
Container Port (High Efficient Operations) for the
