PSA Corporation Wins Inaugural CIO Awards

PSA Corporation has been named winner of the
CIO Award by CIO (ASEAN & Hong Kong) magazine
in its inaugural CIO 100 rankings, which honours
enterprises in the region that have effectively
leveraged on IT to deliver demonstrable, strategic
business value to their businesses.
In its March 2001 issue, CIO (ASEAN & Hong
Kong) magazine said: "PSA Corp is our winner
because it has brought a front end system that
has made them very successful onto a new level.
PORTNET®is the world’s first e-commerce
network for an entire shipping community in a
country (Singapore) when it was rolled out in
1984 and remains to be the only such network in
the world."

Container Terminal Operator (Asia)’ for
the 11th time, and Singapore the ‘Best Seaport
(Asia)’ for the 12th time at the Asian Freight
Industry Awards 2000. PSA Corporation was also
the first Singaporean multi-national corporation
to be conferred the prestigious Singapore Quality
Award for business excellence.
Besides its operations in Singapore, the PSA

around the world in Brunei, China, India, Italy,
